VIDEO: Wildwood soccer team donates to local cancer organization

The Wildwood High School boys soccer team presented money raised from T-shirt sales to Survivors of Cancer, Inc., a local organization that raises money for cancer patients in Cape May County.

The Wildwood High School boys soccer team presented money raised from T-shirt sales to Survivors of Cancer, Inc., a local organization that raises money for cancer patients in Cape May County.

WILDWOOD – The Wildwood High School boys soccer team raised $660 for the Survivors of Cancer, Inc., organization $660 from T-shirt sales during the month of October.

The team presented representatives from the Survivors of Cancer organization the money during a short ceremony held prior to the team’s final home game of the season against Holy Spirit at Kaitlin M. Anzelone Memorial Field.

In conjunction with Lower Cape May’s boys soccer team, Wildwood sold pink and black T-shirts during October for breast cancer awareness month. The team decided to donate the proceeds to the Survivors of Cancer organization. Wildwood coach Steve DeHorsey presented the money to the organization on behalf of the team.

Survivors of Cancer, Inc., is an organization that raises money for cancer patients in Cape May County to use for any purpose during their fight against the disease.
