Atlantic City boys, St. John Vianney girls are No. 1 in Online 25s

By TOM WILLIAMS

The first Online 25 basketball rankings for South Jersey boys and girls basketball are online.

Traditionally, the Online 25 does not post rankings until January 1st in order to have significant results to use for comparison. But from today until the end of the season, the Online 25s will be updated every single night in which games are played.

In boys basketball, five Cape-Atlantic League teams are ranked, led by No. 1 Atlantic City. The group also includes No. 3 Wildwood Catholic, which takes on the Vikings Friday night, followed by St. Augustine, St. Joseph and Millville.

The girls Online 25 includes three from the CAL, led by No. 8 Mainland and also including Ocean City and Holy Spirit. St. John Vianney is ranked No. 1 among girls.

These are the only rankings that include not only all the NJSIAA teams from Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem counties – but also all other teams that play in NJSIAA South Tournaments.

Check back every night for updates.

Both boys and girls Online 25s are at http://www.primeevents.net/calbasketballx.html.
