Carino Club to honor two from county

Two Cape May County high school seniors will be among the honorees when the Al Carino Basketball Club of South Jersey holds its Cape-Atlantic League Day later this month.

Lower Cape May Regional’s Patrick Holden and Wildwood Catholic’s Caleb Fields are two of the six senior basketball players from the CAL the club will honor at a luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 11:30 a.m. at Harbor Pines Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township.

Steve Donahue, the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Pennsylvania, will be the guest speaker.

Other CAL seniors invited to the event include Atlantic City’s Ray Bethea, St. Augustine’s Marlon Hargis, Holy Spirit’s Drew Gallagher and Pleasantville’s Divine Anderson.
