Ryan Herlihy (senior-Haverford cross country-MTHS) has been named the Centennial Conference cross country Athlete of the Week after a standout performance at the Paul Short Run Gold Race hosted by Lehigh University last weekend. Herlihy finished as the top Division III runner in the 8K race, posting a time of 25:09. He placed 37th overall out of 360 finishers to help Haverford finish 10th overall out of 41 teams in the elite gold grouping, which included quite a few Division I schools. Haverford, also the top Division III team finisher at the meet, is ranked third nationally in Division III. Herlihy is a two-time All-Mideast Region and first-team Centennial Conference all-star. …

Devon Grisbaum (senior-Vanderbilt cross country-OCHS) registered one of her finest college efforts by posting a time of 21:34.70 in the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational 6K race to finish 138th overall out of 230 runners. Her time marked a 30-second improvement over her finish at the same race last season. She was the second Vanderbilt runner to finish. The Commodores placed 24th out of 33 teams at the meet.

Joe Fala (sophomore-Ramapo soccer-MTHS) posted two goals and three assists as the Roadrunners routed City College of New York, 9-1, in Monday. Fala is tied for third nationally among Division III players in goals with 14. He also has five assists and leads Ramapo with 33 points through 11 games. Ramapo is 10-1 overall, 3-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. …

Anthony Zampirri (sophomore-Cabrini soccer-WCHS) has been named the most recent Atlantic East Conference Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Cavaliers to a pair of victories. He made three saves and earned the shutout in a 2-0 win over Delaware Valley before making five saves, including four in the second half, in a 2-1 win over Alvernia. Cabrini (4-5-1) is scheduled to open Atlantic East Conference play Wednesday at Wesley. …
