Cape May County native commits to play Division I basketball

A native of Cape May County is set to play Division I college basketball.

Jordan Hall, a rising senior and 6-7 guard/forward at Neumann-Goretti High School in the Philadelphia Catholic League, has verbally committed to play at St. Joseph’s University, according to various media reports.

Hall attended Margaret Mace Elementary School in North Wildwood and spent his freshman season at Middle Township High School. He transferred to Cardinal O’Hara High School (Pa.) for his sophomore season before transferring again to Neumann-Goretti before the start of his junior year of high school.

Last season at N-G, Hall averaged 13.3 points per game for a team that finished 21-8 overall and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Pennsylvania state 3A tournament.

Hall will play at St. Joseph’s under new head coach Billy Lange, a South Jersey product who attended Bishop Eustace Prep. Lange previously coached at the United States Naval Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy before most recently serving as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers. Lange was hired at St. Joe’s in late March after the dismissal of longtime coach Phil Martelli.
