Middle’s Killian wins second straight tournament

Middle Township’s Alick Killian with head coach Matt Wolf after winning the 132-pound weight class at the Palmyra Holiday Tournament.

Alick Killian has continued his outstanding start to the new high school wrestling season.

The Middle Township High School sophomore won his second straight tournament championship over the weekend, taking first place at 132 pounds at the Palmyra Holiday Wrestling Tournament.

Killian beat Lincoln Ormsby of Maple Shade in the title bout by 4-1 decision.

Killian is 9-0 on the season. He previously was the 132-pound champion at the George Maier Tournament at Haddon Heights on Dec. 21.

Mike Adelizzi (152) and Dave Giuilian (182) each placed second and Matt Sgrignioli (113), Adrien LaBoy (120), Aaron Jern (160), Jayden Matthews (170) and Dom Galati (285) each finished fourth for Middle at Palmyra.

The Panthers are next in action Tuesday at the West Orange Tournament.
