Upper Township youth soccer results

The following are results from recent games played by Upper Township traveling youth soccer teams:

GIRLS

U-10 Wildfire vs. Voorhees Cyclones: Abbey Cappelletti scored two goals, Adalyn DeAngelis and Riley Grawl each added a goal and an assist and Emily Keich scored on a penalty kick to lead the offense. Few chances reached the shutout goalkeeping duo of Cece Mirsky and Carly Godfrey as the defense anchored by Hudson Scola, Molly Quinn, Keich and Grawl was stout. Pressure was applied throughout the game by wings Thompson Sypherd, Rebecca Siteman and Savanna Rolls.

U-11 Tsunamis 5, Harrison Lobos 0: The scoring was led by Lilliana Keim (2 goals), Shaela Gannon, Maeve Quinn and Emily Leonard. The goals were assisted by Gianna Vallese, Maeve Smith, and Brooke Liebrand. The Tsunamis continued to control the field through the midfield of Brooke Liebrand, Maeve Quinn, Maeve Smith, Gianna Vallese, Emily Leonard, Lindsey Seeberger, Lilliana Keim and Ella Jefferson. The Defense continued to set the tone with great play by Shaela Gannon, Abby Marr, Gwen O’Hara ad Kaia Ray. Emily Swan earned her third shutout of the season while filling in for injured goalie Kaia Ray.

U-15 Cyclones 7, Harrison Hurricanes 1: Ava Bixby and Makenna Marr who each netted two goals and Aimee Altieri, Mia Schultz and Molli Dahms each added one. Aneecia Morales had two assists. Megan Coan, Isabelle Smith and Jaycey Lin were outstanding on defense.

BOYS                                                                  

U-9 Avalanche vs. Vineland KiXX: The teams were pretty evenly matched in the first half. Gabriel Meron punched the ball through the Vineland defense for the first goal of the game. Dominic Schultz was in goal for the first half blocking every shot. Vineland came back early in the second half with a tough shot on Chase Wilson. Wilson held the KiXX to one goal in the second half. Cooper Marr, Brady Dahms, and Meron, carried the game defensively for the Avalanche. Late in the second half, Caden Schiemer put two more goals in for the Avalanche securing another win. The Avalanche offense was supported by Talon Ray, and Nolan Servis. Caden Schiemer was the standout player of the game burying a key shot to take the lead.

U-10 Riptides vs. Moorestown Rapids: Austin Azotea netted two balls off separate crosses from Dominic Vallese. Jacob Holzer had an awesome score off a great corner kick from William Law. Luke Wildman had a goal off a pass from Gregory Guyon and John Godfrey scored off a pass from Jack Wilson. Bryce Wilson and Quinn Olek helped control the midfield and defense. Ryan Bacon and Jude McAfee were great in net.

U-11 Monroe United 4, Derechos 1: Despite the loss, the back line of Logan Fearnhead, Cole Haas, Jacob Collo, Tyler Seeberger and Dylan Wilson played outstanding. Goaltending duties were split by Liam Zintner and Parker Ramsi, both of whom stopped a barrage of shots on goal. Mason Raucci, Brendan Degan, and Luke Tuthill controlled the middle of the field. Luke Tjoumakaris scored the Derechos’ lone goal on a penalty kick. Caleb Servis, Gavin Taylor and Grady Hanson really had great play on the wing and Sean Hoag was a threat at striker.

U-12 Monsoons 3, Cohansey Clash 0: The Monsoons avenged an earlier loss with the victory. Logan Smith and Josh Jasiecki combined in net for the shutout. Goals were tallied by Nolan O’Kane, Kieran Bender and Carter Yoa.
