The NCAA Division One Field Hockey Regional Tournaments begin on Saturday and two Ocean City High School graduates are part of 16 of the teams in action.

Junior Lauren McNally, a redshirt sophomore, plays defense for Penn State (16-4) and has played in 11 games, starting one. The Nittany Lions, ranked No. 6 in the country, will play No. 8 ranked Delaware on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the University of Connecticut. The winner will play the UConn-Boston University winner on Sunday for a spot in the Final Four. UConn is undefeated and ranked No. 1 in the country.

Freshman Nicholl Fenton plays defense for St. Joseph and has started all 21 games for the Hawks. She was named to the Atlantic-10 All-Rookie Team. St. Joe (18-3) is ranked No. 15 and will play No. 3 North Carolina on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the University of Virginia. The winner will play the Virginia-Princeton winner for the regional championship.

Both McNally and Fenton were all-state during their careers at OCHS and played on two state championship teams.
