Championships decided in Cape May County youth hockey league

GRADES 2-4 STREEET HOCKEY CHAMPS – UPPER TOWNSHIP II

Upper Township II won the grades 2-4 championship in the Cape May County youth hockey league recently. Upper II beat Rainbow International, 4-3, in Game 3 of a three-game series. Ryan Bacon scored two goals and Luke Passarella and Mason Raucci also scored for the winners. Zeke Lynsinger scored twice and Jacob Rossi-Friend added a goal in the loss.

GRADES 5-8 STREET HOCKEY CHAMPS – DENNIS TOWNSHIP BLUE

Dennis Township Blue posted a 5-1 victory over Greater Wildwood Jaycees earlier this month to win the grades 5-8 street division in the Cape May County youth hockey league. Nick Pizagno, Nick Rutledge, Jesse Hickman, Pierce Peragine and Nick Izzi each scored goals in the win. Brendan McGrath tallied for Jaycees.

GRADES 5-8 ROLLER HOCKEY CHAMPS – MCGARRITY LANDSCAPING

McGarrity Landscaping swept a best-of-three series in two games over Dennis Township to win the Cape May County youth hockey league’s grades 5-8 roller division. In Game 1, Jason Breakell and Michael McGee each scored three goals and Jordan O’Such added a goal in McGarrity’s 7-5 win. Austin Carr scored four goals and Tommy Carr added a goal in the loss. In Game 2, Michael McGee had another hat trick and Jason Breakell and Luke Seddon each added a goal in McGarrity’s 5-3 win. Austin Carr scored twice and Sean Flynn added a goal in the loss.

HIGH SCHOOL ROLLER HOCKEY CHAMPS – UPPER TOWNSHIP I

Upper Township I swept a best-of-three series over Reliable Plumbing to win the Cape May County youth hockey league championship recently. In Game 1, Sam Trulli posted a hat trick and Anthony Franulovic, Joe Lloyd and Brian Foulke each scored a goal in Upper I’s 6-5 win. Carson Martindale had three goals and Peter Conlin scored twice in the loss. In Game 2, Joe Lloyd scored twice and Anthony Franulovic added a goal in Upper I’s 3-0 victory.
