Upper Township youth soccer teams finish fall season

The following are results from recent games played by Upper Township youth soccer teams:

BOYS

U-10 Riptides vs. Haddon Heights Gunners: John Godfrey got the first goal off a corner from Will Law. Bryce Wilson scored two great shots from outside the 18. Bryce and Dominic Vallese were dominant at defense. Gregory Guyon and Luke Wildman helped drive the ball in the midfield. Jack Wilson, Quinn Olek and Jude McAfee did a great job against the Gunners defense. Ryan Bacon made some awesome saves in goal for the Riptides, who finished the season in first place in their division.

U-11 Cherry Hill Terminators 2, Derechos 1: The lone Derechos’ goal was scored by Sean Hoag. Defensively, the combination of Mason Raucci, Logan Fearnhead, Tyler Seeberger and Cole Haas was formidable. Goaltending was provided by Parker Ramsi and Liam Zintner and was excellent. Luke Tjoumakaris and Lukas Tuthill battled in the midfield. Caleb Servis, Grady Hanson and Dylan Wilson provided offensive support throughout the game.

U-14 Heat 5, MLU Pumas 2: Jonny Leap scored the first two goals, followed by one from Jake Myers, assisted by Aidan O’Kane. MLU scored two quick goals at the start of the second half, but Connor Smith fought hard for the ball deep in the defensive end of the field and fed Dante Edwardi up the right side, who then got it to Leap to make it 4-2. Leap then scored the final goal on a breakaway. The back line of Patrick Lonergan, Paul Tjoumakaris, Andrew Karayiannis and Mason Romanini played solidly. Matt Simone had a few scoring chances playing well up top, and Gavin Curran once again played exceptional in goal.
