ERMA – The Ocean City and Lower Cape May Regional high school wrestling teams engaged in a high-scoring match Friday afternoon.

Twelve of the 14 bouts were decided by fall or were awarded as forfeits. In the end, Ocean City, despite forfeiting three bouts, posted a 43-36 victory.

Louie Williams (120), Tommy Oves (132), Nick McCardell (145), Rosario LaRosa (152) and Nick Sannino (195) each won by fall for the Raiders. Also for Ocean City, Billy Kroeger (170) won by major decision and Peyton Bristol (126) took a decision.

For Lower Cape May, Dom Robertson (113), Jake Baxter (138) and Corey Brandt (220) each won by pin.

Both teams are off until competing in the Art Marinelli Tournament at Egg Harbor Township High School next Thursday.
