TYLER NORRIS

Tyler Norris (junior-Cabrini baseball-WCHS) went 4 for 9 with two home runs, five runs scored, three RBI and a stolen base to help the Cavaliers sweep a doubleheader over Clarks-Summit by scores of 9-3 and 21-3 on Friday. For the season, Norris is batting .320 with three home runs and 19 RBI. He leads the team with nine stolen bases and 20 runs scored and is tied for the team lead with 13 extra-base hits. Cabrini is 16-16 overall, 2-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. …

Bridget Ruskey (freshman-LaSalle lacrosse-MTHS) scored four minutes into overtime to give the Explorers a 15-14 victory over Duquesne on Friday. Ruskey scored three times in the win. She then scored four times in a 14-2 win over St. Bonaventure on Sunday to up her season totals to 41 goals and 49 points. Teammate Allison Hunter (freshman-LaSalle lacrosse-MTHS) chipped in an assist in Sunday’s win and has two helpers on the season. LaSalle is 6-8 overall, 2-4 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. …

Blake Vogdes (junior-Iona golf-WCHS) shot 87 (+15) to help the Gaels to a 299-308 win over defending Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champion St. Peter’s earlier this month. Iona is set to compete at the Rhode Island Invitational this week. …

James Cella (sophomore-Wesley lacrosse-LCMR) made nine saves on 17 shots to help the Wolverines to a 9-8 win over Marymount last week. His diving save in a recent 11-2 loss to Frostburg State made the Capital Athletic Conference Top Plays highlights. Cella made 11 saves on 28 shots in a 21-7 loss to Southern Virginia on Saturday. He has started 11 of the team’s 13 games and has posted a .513 save percentage. Wesley is 3-10 overall, 1-5 CAC. …

Cole Blackley (sophomore-Kean lacrosse-LCMR) scored a goal in Kean’s 7-4 win over Castleton on Sunday. He has 18 goals on the season for Kean, which improved to 10-2 overall. …

Alijah Broadnax (senior-Cabrini tennis-MTHS) won 6-3, 6-1, in his singles match and joined C.J. LaMantia for an 8-1 win at doubles to lead Cabrini to a 7-2 victory over Neumann University on Saturday. Broadnax, who was honored prior to the match as part of Senior Day ceremonies, improved his career record across both singles and doubles competition to 54-31. The defending Colonial States Athletic Conference champion Cavaliers are 9-4 overall, 6-0 CSAC. …

Ashley Hunt (sophomore-Lourdes lacrosse-LCMR) scored three goals in the Gray Wolves’ 20-14 victory over Madonna College last week. She is currently third on the team with 25 goals and second on the team with 11 assists while starting all 12 games. Lourdes, located in Sylvania, Ohio, is 8-4 overall, 2-1 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. …

Ashley Lamey (sophomore-Jefferson University lacrosse-LCMR) has recorded two goals and an assist from her defender position for the Rams. Jefferson, formerly Philadelphia University, is 6-7 overall, 5-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. …

ARIEL MAGEE

Ariel Magee (junior-Chestnut Hill softball-LCMR) went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored for the Griffins in a 12-7 loss to Bloomfield on Saturday. For the season, Magee is hitting .238 with five runs scored and three RBI in 42 at bats. She leads the team with five stolen bases. Chestnut Hill entered this week at 1-21 overall, 1-14 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. …

David Hicks (junior-William & Mary golf-MTHS) shot 75-75-74–224 (+11) to lead the Tribe with an 18th-place overall finish at the Redhawks Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course in Washington state earlier this month. William & Mary will compete in the Colonial Athletic Association Championships next weekend. …

Shane Adams (junior-William Paterson baseball-CMTHS) has four hits, including two doubles, and two RBI in 18 at bats for the Pioneers. William Paterson is 18-9 overall, 6-4 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. …

JOHN MOOERS

John Mooers (junior-Rutgers track & field-MTHS) tossed the discus 170 feet, 4 inches, to place second out of 18 competitors in the event and help the Scarlet Knights win the 12-team 2018 Outdoor Metropolitan Championships this weekend. Earlier this month, Mooers posted a distance of 176-0, his personal best, in a second-place finish at the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton University. …

Brendan Bean (freshman-Penn baseball-North Wildwood resident) struck out six, walked none and gave up just two hits and no runs in 4 ⅓ innings of relief pitching in a 3-0 loss to Princeton in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday. The former Wildwood player and Gloucester Catholic graduate leads the Quakers in earned run average at 0.60 and has recorded 21 strikeouts and just three walks in 15 innings pitched. Bean also has 10 hits and five RBI in 53 at bats at the plate. Penn is 10-19-1 overall, 5-6-1 in the Ivy League.
