P.J. Schulte, a sophomore on the Middle Township High School golf team, is the latest CoastSportsToday.com Athlete of the Week. Schulte finished in third place at 3-over-par in the South-Central Group I Tournament held at Heron Glen Golf Course in Ringoes earlier this week. The tournament was shortened to 11 holes due to the threat of thunderstorms. By virtue of his top-five finish, Schulte has qualified for next week’s Tournament of Champions. Schulte helped Middle Township finish unbeaten in regular-season play for the fourth straight season and win the Cape-Atlantic National Conference title for the eighth straight season.
