The 12 male finalists for The Billy Schoppy Memorial Award

A dozen male athletes from the Cape-Atlantic League’s Class of 2018 will be recognized on Monday at the Music Pier on the Ocean City Boardwalk. They are the finalists for the 18th Annual Billy Schoppy Memorial Awards as top senior athletes in the CAL.

Here are the 12 finalists, in alphabetical order.

Nazim Derry (Atlantic City) was an all star in football and an all star in basketball. He will attend Virginia Union.

Charles Fields (Wildwood Catholic) was an all star in basketball and a state champion and all star in track.

Andrew Marcucci (Absegami) was an all star in football and an all star in wrestling. He will attend The Citadel.

Flash Morgan (Atlantic City) was an all star in football and an all star in basketball. He will attend Maine.

Gary Nagle (Middle Township) was an all star in football, district champ in wrestling and record-setter in pole vault. He will attend Ursinus.

Isaih Pacheco (Vineland) was an all star in football, 2-year starter in basketball and 1-year starter in baseball. He will attend Rutgers.

Dimitris Pali (Holy Spirit) was an all star in football and an all star in wrestling. He will attend East Stroudsburg.

Harry Pfeifle (Ocean City) was an all star/record setter in football, played basketball and an all star in lacrosse. He will attend Fairleigh Dickinson.

Brennan Ray (Lower Cape May) was an all star in football and an all star in baseball. He will attend Montclair.

Kobe Roberts (Mainland) was an all star in football and a champion in the javelin. He will attend William Paterson.

Issac Robertson (Ocean City) was an all star in football, played basketball, starter in baseball. He will attend Susquehanna.

Antonio Yeoman (Mainland) played football, was an all star in wrestling and an all star in lacrosse.

All 12 finalists, together with the female finalists, have been invited to the 7th Annual CAL Celebration on the Ocean City Music Pier Monday afternoon. The winner will be announced then plus the presentations of the Ed Byrnes All-Sports Award, the Tony Surace Award, the Ken Leary Memorial Award, the Frank Campo Humanitarian Award and basketball awards from All Star Saturday. Mike Gill’s Sports Bash will broadcast live from the Music Pier on 97.3-ESPN.
