ERMA — The Ocean City High School girls basketball team used strong defense to surge past Lower Cape May Thursday evening.

The Raiders limited Lower Cape May to only seven points through three quarters before settling for a 50-25 victory.

Ocean City (8-3) enjoyed remarkably balanced scoring in the victory as Emma Finnegan, Molly Hoffman and Danielle Donoghue netted nine points apiece. Tori Rolls chipped in with eight points.

Ashley Jackson scored 16 points for Lower Cape May (5-7).
