OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City High School boys and girls track teams continued their dominance of the Cape May County Championships Friday afternoon, as both Raider teams breezed to team titles.

Sophia Greshman won three events and Emma Sacco placed first in two to help Ocean City post 199.83 points to beat second-place Lower Cape May (77.33). Middle Township (45.83) was third.

Gresham placed first in the 100 meters in 13.08 seconds, the 200 meters in 27.33 seconds and in the long jump at a distance of 17 feet, ¼ inch. Sacco won the triple jump at a distance of 34-6 and the high jump at a height of 5-0.

Erin Hanlon (400), Casey McLees (1600), Brooke Farr (3200), Mackenzie Matura (100 hurdles) and Joni Dice (discus) also won events for the Raiders. In addition, Hanlon, Grace Burke, Megan Gereaghty and Maggie Halbrunner teamed for first place in the 4×400 relay.

Christina Adams led Lower Cape May’s effort by winning the javelin toss and 8000-meter run. She threw the javelin 109-7 and posted a time of 2:27.08 in the 800. She came from behind in the 800, passing the leader in the final 25 meters of the race.

Lower Cape May’s Joelle DuFault (shot put) and Middle Township’s Keira Phillips (400 hurdles) and Abri Bostard (pole vault) were also individual winners.

Ocean City’s Kevin King was the star of the boys meet, placing first in the 100, 110 hurdles and long jump. He won the 100 in 11.62 seconds, the 110 hurdles in 14.65 seconds and the long jump at a distance of 20-5.5.

Mike Rhodes also won two events for the Raiders, finishing first in the shot put at a distance of 41-3 and the discus at a distance of 125-2.

Ocean City scored 179 points to finish ahead of second-place Middle Township (78). Lower Cape May (59) was third.

Other event winners for Ocean City included Luke Kramer (800), Gavyn Fox (1600), Owen Ritti (3200), Aidan Pearce (pole vault) and Lane Owens (javelin). Fox, Kramer, Tyler Greene and Hunter Paone also teamed for victory in the 4×400 relay.

Lower Cape May’s Dakota Black was a double event winner, taking first in the 400 hurdles and triple jump. Other event winners included Wildwood’s Andrew Zielinski (200) and Middle Township’s Cameron Hamer (high jump).
