The following are results from championship games played in the gramamr school divisions in the Wildwood Crest Recreation summer basketball league:
GRADES 3-5 LEAGUE
Championship – Adventurer Oceanfront Motel 22, Wawa Markets 20: A basket by Theo Margarites in the final minute gave Adventurer the lead for good in the title game. Micah Watkins canned eight points and Margarites and Michael Blanda each added five points for Adventurer. Quinn Reigner netted 10 points to lead Wawa.
GRADES 6-8 LEAGUE
Championship – Big Top Surfin’ Sundae 58, Cone Crazy 43: Junior Hans poured in 26 points and Lukas Basile added 14 points for Big Top Surfin’ Sundae, which used a 12-2 run to start the second half to pull away for good. Michael Zarfati (22) and Ryan Troiano (11) each scored in double figures in the loss.
