Cape Express youth soccer scores

The following are results from recent games played by Cape Express youth soccer teams:

GIRLS

U8 Cape Express Wave vs Washington Twp: The Wave played a very tight game against Washington Twp.  Cianna Bruno made some great saves in net to keep the score close. Harper Rennie and Iris Rulon helped out in the midfield to move the ball upfield throughout the game. Julianna Blumstrom and Isabella Davis played solid defense. Adeline Yerk was the lone goal scorer for the Wave.

U9 Cape Express Galaxy at Washington Twp: The Galaxy played a close game against the Impact. Fiona Hardin made several awesome saves in net. Whitney Macrina,  Nora Cray and Layla Mitchell played solid defense. Peyton Bernacki and Sofia Alegre helped moved the ball up the field to Madeline and Maggie who were able to finish strong.

U10 Cape Express Mayhem at Cherry Hill SC: Abbie Verity provided explosive offense for Mayhem while Maggie King and Casey Day held strong for the defensive end. Riley Greenling and Rayne Clark also had excellent games at midfield.

U11 Cape Express Riptide 3, Cherry Hill FC 1: After a slow start had Cape down 1-0 at the half, the Riptide rallied in the second half with 2 goals by Ally Walker and one by Emma Vince to seal the victory.

U12 Cape Express Sirens 1, Collingswood 1: Stellar play in net by Olive Cray and Izzy Miller kept Collingswood to one goal despite a lot of pressure. The Sirens settled in during the second half and found their rhythm late in the game when Riley “Frank” Deignan took the ball up the left side to the corner and crossed it into the box where her twin, Julia “Jeff” Deignan poked it past the Bobcats keeper to secure a tie.

U14 Cape Express Blue Crush 2, Hamilton Wildcats 1: Brianna Ortiz and Fiona Gale strongly defended the goal as Jada Smith and Hannah Morales kept the defense tight. Ariella Hill and Alivia Adams worked together to keep the midfield strong. Chloe Frame and Alivia Adams combined to score the first goal in the opening half.  Chloe then had a strong break away in the second half and put in the game winning goal.

U14 Cape Express White 5, Millstone United 2: Another solid performance in net by Tessa Hueber. Gracie Repici got the scoring started early with Carmen O’Hara adding to it right after. Shortly after Bella Gibboni finished on her break away ending the half 3-0. Millstone scored right away in the second half. Working the ball down the field Sianna King switched the field and Nola Quinn capatlized off of it.  Regan Gittle, Maeve Farrell, and Bella Gibboni held down the back line only allowing the opponent to score one more.  Kate Grier capped off the game by scoring the final goal.
