Latest Cape Express youth soccer scores

Sophia Smith of the Cape Express U12 Sirens clears the ball from harm’s way.

The following are results from recent games played by Cape Express youth soccer teams:

BOYS

U14 Cape Express Vipers 3, TBAA Outlaws 2: Alex Avila scored two goals and Deron Azile added a goal and had an assist for Cape to help them come out with a hard fought win. Eddie Hirsch had two assists and played solid at center midfield. Joe Berrodin and Simon Hardin each had an assist. Brandyn Acevedo was strong in goal. 

GIRLS

U8 Cape Express Wave vs. Haddon Heights: The Wave showed heart as they battled Haddon Heights. Rowan Germanio scored for Cape as Harper Rennie and Iris Rulon provided strong goalkeeping.

U9 Cape Express Galaxy vs. Vineland Union: Peyton Bernacki and Fiona Hardin combined for a shutout in goal.  Sofia Alegre, Madeline Burns and Layla Mitchell were relentless in the field. Nora Cray and Maggie Staino moved the ball up to Whitney Macrina who blasted home a goal in the final minutes.

U10 Cape Express Mayhem vs. Delran: Kate Wheeler and Abbie Verity provided the three goals for the Mayhem, with Avery Proud and Taylor Owens providing support at midfield. Piper Menz had a great second half and Allie Maxwell provided solid defense with help from Maggie King to support goalkeeper Lindsay Grenfell. 

U11 Cape Express Riptide 5, Delran 2: Ainsley Frederick put the first mark on the Riptide board with a run from the sweeper position. This was followed by goals by Parker Milstead and Emma Vince and two more by Frederick in the forward spot for the hat trick. Strong pressure by Madison Adams in the midfield and firm defensive line kept the ball in Delran’s half of the field for most of the game.

U12 Harrison 4, Cape Express Sirens 1: Julia Deignan got the Sirens on the board early. Despite mounting injuries, the Sirens battled a tough Harrison team but ultimately could not hold off their opponent’s relentless attack. 

U14 Cape Express Blue Crush 1, Harrison 1: Chloe Frame scored with a breakaway in the first half to give the Blue Crush the lead. Reagan Germanio, Ariella Hill, Brianna Ortiz, and Ashley Siegal held Harrison scoreless till late in the second half in a hard fought tie game.

U14 Cape Express White 1, Manchester 0: In a New Jersey Commissioners Cup match, the Cape team overwhelmed Manchester with shots right from the start with Reagan Gittle placing it in the net. The girls connected on many passes. Many shots were take by Sianna King, Carmen O’Hara and Aspen Southard.  Reagan Flickinger, Bella Gibboni and Keily Sanchez shut things down from the back line and Kate Grier made some amazing saves to hold a shutout.
