VIDEO: Killian, Giulian win wrestling titles at West Orange

Alick Killian and David Giulian continued their impressive starts to the high school wrestling season on Tuesday.

The Middle Township High School sophomores won their respective weight classes at the Tim Groves Memorial Tournament at West Orange High School.

Killian captured the 132-pound title by winning three straight decisions after receiving a first-round bye. He posted a 5-0 victory in the championship bout.

Giulian also received a first-round bye at 182 pounds before winning his first two bouts by fall in less than 20 seconds each. He then scored a 9-5 victory in the championship match.

Also for Middle, Mike Adelizzi placed second at 152 pounds and Matt Gariano (145) and Jayden Matthews (170) each earned fourth-place finishes. 

For Killian, the championship at West Orange represented his third of the season. He also won 132-pound titles at Haddon Heights on Dec. 21 and at Palmyra on Dec. 28. He is 13-0 on the season.

The championship at West Orange was Giulian’s second of the season. He also won at Haddon Heights and placed second at Palmyra. He is 12-1 on the season.

Middle is next in action Friday in a dual match at Millville.
