Jahlil White is the latest Wildwood Catholic High School boys basketball player to reach the 1,000-point milestone.
The 6-6 senior guard sank a layup late in the second quarter of Friday’s 70-29 victory over Cape May for his 999th and 1,000th points.
The points were the last of his game-high 23 as the Crusader starters took most of the second half off after leading 47-15 at the half.
Taj Thweatt added 18 points and Martin Anguelov sank 10 for Wildwood Catholic (7-2), which won its third straight.
James Longstreet scored 11 points for Cape May Tech (2-5).
The Crusaders are scheduled to play Christian Brothers Academy today at 5 p.m. at the Boardwalk Showcase at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.
