Cape Express youth soccer scores

The following are results from recent games played by Cape Express youth soccer teams:

GIRLS

U8 Cape Express Rage vs EHT Lady Eagles: Miranda Hernandez led the scoring for the Rage as they battled EHT on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Brianna Quinn and Sheilla Clifford worked hard in goal against a tough opponent.

U11 Harrison United 4, Cape Express Mayhem 1: Abbie Verity connected with Aubrey Bradway for the feed up the middle to score Mayhem’s goal. Piper Menz  and Sophia Alegre added the support at midfield while Maggie Staino made some excellent saves in goal.

U13 Cape Express Sirens 3, Haddonfield 2: The Sirens showed a lot of heart after going down 2-0 at the half to first-place Haddonfield by rallying in the second half to keep their winning streak going. Emma Vince crossed the ball from the end line over the Haddonfield keeper and Julia Deignan tapped it in for Cape’s first goal. Sophia Smith took a pass from Cara Myers and tied it up with a bouncing shot from outside the 18 that the goalie couldn’t handle. Gabby Oliver put the Sirens on top late after beating the defender and knocking it in far post.

U10 Cape Express Surge vs. Mainland United: The Surge rallied from a two-goal deficit to draw with a good Mainland team.
