CoastSportsToday Female Athlete of the Week: Leona Macrina, Wildwood Catholic

Leona Macrina of Wildwood Catholic Academy is the latest CoastSportsToday.com Female Athlete of the Week.

A senior on the Crusader girls soccer team, Macrina has posted 22 career victories, leaving her one short of tying the program record set by Jen Flounders in 2001.

All but two of Macrina’s career victories in goal have come via shutout. Her 20 shutouts are a program record, eclipsing the previous record of 16 set by 2000 graduate Stephanie Trimble.

Macrina is receiving college interest from a variety of Division III programs.
