Cape Express youth soccer results

The following are results from recent games played by Cape Express youth soccer teams:

BOYS

U13 Cape Express 3, Pennsville 0: Goalie Evan Landis continued his strong play with a shutout. He’s allowed just one goal in three spring games to date. The offense started off with a quick strike from Ren Tomlin. Fast ball movement and sharp passes from wingers Declan Farrell and Michael Ratchford led to goals from Lucas Scheeler and Kyle Petit in the second half. The defense played aggressive, with Johnny Montgomery and Sammy Casterline, shutting down the fury forwards. 

U10 Cape Express Surge vs. Moorestown: Finn Matthews scored three goals and also combined with Sean Cunniff to keep a clean sheet in goal for the Surge. Nouh Belarbia and Darin Dyakov also scored for Cape.

GIRLS

U8 Cape Express Rage vs. Haddon Heights: Solid defense by Miranda Hernandez and Addison Binder helped Rage goalies Brianna Quinn and Zoey Fisher stymie Haddon Heights chances. Liza Matthews and Brianna Quinn powered the offense with support from Willa Simon.

U11 Cape Express Mayhem 6, Moorestown 1: The Mayhem offense was powered by three goals from Aubrey Bradway, two goal from Abby Verity, and one goal by Avery Proud. Excellent defense by Maggie King, Peyton Bernack, and Nora Cray kept Moorestown’s chances to a minimum.  Maggie Staino and Lindsay Grenfell shared duties in goal.

U12 Mount Laurel 4, Cape Express Riptide 2: Emma Vince rang two shots off the crossbar that were put in by Maddie Adams and Stephanie Byrne. Delaney Kampmeyer and Maggie Adams were in net.

U13 Cape Express Sirens 5, North Burlington 0: Gabby Oliver had another stellar afternoon for the Sirens by scoring three goals and adding an assist. Sophia Smith added a goal and two assists. Katie Sharp netted her first goal as the Sirens overwhelmed a tough opponent. Goalies Izzy Miller, Meredith Lutjen, and Kate Walker shut down all of North Burlington’s chances.
