Lower Cape May's Macky Bonner looks to move the ball in transition.

The future looks awful promising for the Lower Cape May Regional High School boys lacrosse team.

The present didn’t look too bad, either, on Thursday afternoon.

Freshmen Macky Bonner and Taj Turner played major roles in the offensive attack as the Caper Tigers picked up their first victory via a 15-4 decision over Absegami. Bonner posted five goals and four assists and Turner chipped in five goals and two assists to pace Lower’s offense.

Matt Brown added two goals and three assists and Mikey Castellano, Gavin Hill and Collin Hassay each added single tallies for Lower (1-1).

Aiden Franklin made 10 saves in goal for the Tigers, who led 7-1 at the half.
