Cape Express youth soccer scores

The following are scores from recent games involving Cape Express youth soccer teams:

GIRLS

U8 Cape Express Rage vs. Mantua: Liza Matthews had a nice pair of goals, one of which was a penalty shot she buried in the upper left corner. Willa Simon had a goal and played a great overall game. Jessica Alegre was relentless on defense. Sheilla Clifford made some excellent saves in goal.

U11 Cape Express Mayhem 5, Swedesboro 3: Aubrey Bradway posted a hat trick and Abby Verity and Whitney Macrina each added one for Cape. Verity and Maggie King had two assists apiece. Madeline Burns played great and so did Sophia Alegre. Lindsay Grenfell and Maggie Staino split time at keeper.

U13 Cape Express Sirens 2, Delran 0: The Sirens put the game away early with two goals in the first 15 minutes. Gabby Oliver and Kate Walker combined on passes inside Delran’s 18, which led to Sophia Smith blasting one over the keeper’s head. A few minutes later Sophia’s corner kick curled in past the goalie to secure the win. Izzy Miller and Meredith Lutjen combined in net for the shutout, including Meredith’s brave stop on a late penalty kick. Stout defense by Cara Myers, Olive Cray, Riley Odom, and Morgan Jastremski kept Delran’s chances at a minimum.

BOYS

U10 Surge vs. Mt. Laurel United: Cooper Turner scored twice and Carter Evans, Cooper Harkins and Darin Dyakov each added goals for Cape.
