FIRST TEAM (listed alphabetically)

Deron Azile                             Sophomore         Back                     Lower Cape May

One of the top outside backs in the CAL United Conference, Azile has proven his worth as an outstanding one-v.-one defender while also possessing a strong ability to link play with his teammates in the midfield. Already a two-year starter as a sophomore, Azile is also an occasional offensive threat and added two goals this fall.

Steven Berrodin                     Junior                  Forward               Middle Township

An extremely dangerous talisman as a striker but also a creative playmaker the during times when he dropped into the midfield area, Berrodin finished the season as the CAL United’s points leader with 24 goals and 13 assists. A tremendous competitor who wins more than his share of physical battles, Berrodin led Middle to conference title and a first-round victory in the South Jersey Coaches Cup.

Tommy Carr                            Senior                  Back                     Middle Township

A team captain and center back, Carr was the anchor of a Middle Township defense that conceded more than one goal in a game just five times in 21 matches. Was at his best in a stunning first-round upset of Shawnee in the South Jersey Coaches Tournament. Adept at using size to his advantage.

Jimmy Kane                            Sophomore         Midfield               Wildwood Catholic

One of the most talented players in the entire CAL, Kane is a technically gifted and physically strong midfielder for a team that is otherwise very short on experience. Dangerous both with the ball and in making runs toward goal from the midfield, he led the CAL United in goals with 25 despite often facing man-marking and double-teaming defenses.

Lambros Koutsfetsoulis         Senior                  Midfield               Ocean City

A three-year starter, Koutsfetsoulis emerged as an excellent secondary playmaker for the Raiders behind teammate John Lindsay. Exhibits exemplary vision and good technical skill, allowing him to post nine goals and a team-best 12 assists for Ocean City this fall.

Ori Levy-Smith                        Senior                   Back                     Ocean City

Vinny Povio                            Junior                  Forward               Middle Township

A consistent threat due to his pace and tenacity, Povio emerged as an outstanding secondary scorer for the Panthers with 12 goals and four assists this fall. Is particularly adept as the front player in a high-press attack.

Anderson Ryan                       Junior                  Goalkeeper          Lower Cape May

Athletic with terrific instincts, Ryan has a knack for making the spectacular save look routine. Can be counted on to make at least a couple breathtaking stops per game. Finished the season with 95 saves and five shutouts.

Matt Sgrignioli                       Junior                  Back                     Middle Township

A left back who excels in one-v.-one situations, Sgrignioli matched up with and excelled against opposing teams’ top players all season long. Has quick footwork in tight areas. Also a threat moving forward, Sgrignioli dished six assists this fall.

Taj Turner                               Junior                  Back                     Lower Cape May

A three-year starter and team captain, Turner is one of the CAL United’s most underrated players and most consistent defenders. Uses excellent soccer acumen to anticipate plays to thwart opposing attacks from his center back position. Has earned significant respect from opposing coaches.

Miguel Valencia                     Junior                  Midfield               Lower Cape May

One of the most the technically sound players in the CAL, Valencia is the engine that drives the Caper Tiger offense. A consistent performer who shines in every game, Valencia is a three-year starter and team captain who recorded seven goals and eight assists this fall.

Andrew Weber                       Senior                  Forward               Lower Cape May
