CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — The Middle Township High School girls soccer team enjoyed a rather easy victory in its South Jersey Group II opener Wednesday afternoon.

The Lady Panthers, seeded third in the tournament, rolled to an 8-0 win over No. 14 Lindenwold, scoring four goals in each half.

Middle (12-3) moves on to host No. 6 Seneca on Saturday at noon in a sectional quarterfinal game. Lindenwold fell to 4-12.

Sofia Sgrignioli led a balanced scoring effort for Middle with two goals. Other goal scorers in the win included McKenna Gregory, Anna Delaney, Eva Dimitrov, Gabrielle Braun, CC DiMauro and Carmen O’Hara.

Angelina Lorenzo needed to make just one save in goal for her third shutout of the season.
