WILDWOOD – Macie McCracken saved her best for last.

The sophomore guard from the Wildwood High School girls basketball team scored 12 of her game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter as the Lady Warriors pulled away from Lower Cape May for a 46-35 victory in the Kaitlin Anzelone Memorial Showcase Game at the Boardwalk Basketball Classic Friday.

With the score tied at 32-32, McCracken’s three-pointer kickstarted a 14-3 Wildwood run to close the game.

The game was held in memory of Anzelone, a former three-sport Wildwood standout who was part of the program’s three straight state championship and four straight South Jersey championship teams from 2000 through 2003. She died after a battle with leukemia in July 2005.

Anzelone’s niece, Hailey Elwell, played in Friday’s contest for Lower Cape May.

Sinaia Hills added 14 points for Wildwood (3-1).

Kaitlyn McGuigan scored 16 points to pace Lower Cape May (2-1).
