ERMA — A shorthanded Lower Cape May Regional High School boys tennis team scored a 3-2 victory over local rival Wildwood Catholic Monday afternoon.
Jared Lepor and Evan Warburton won the decisive match for Lower Cape May, taking the first doubles slot in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2.
Lower also won the second doubles match in straight sets behind Dan Cristelo and Max Souder, 6-4, 6-1.
The Caper Tigers (4-6) got their other point through Dennis Mancuso, who won the first doubles match, 6-0, 6-4.
Wildwood Catholic won the second and third singles positions in straight sets. Beck Lindsay won 6-2, 6-2, at No. 2 and Tyler Mericle was a 6-4, 5-7 winner at No. 3.
Lower Cape May played the match without one of its regular singles players.
