Wildwood – Wildwood Catholic rivalry back on

Island-wide rivalries will be returning to the Wildwood school scene. A Facebook post by Wildwood Catholic Academy yesterday (April 27) read: “Wildwood Catholic Academy and Wildwood Middle/High Schools have been engaging in ongoing discussions regarding athletic competitions. The schools were anxious to renew the long-storied rivalry between the Crusaders and Warriors. As a result, there will be an Island-wide Rivalry Weekend during each athletic season, beginning in the 2023-2024 school year. Wildwood will host all athletic competitions for the first year and Wildwood Catholic Academy will host all athletic competitions the following year. It will alternate every year after that. In this upcoming school year, Wildwood High School will host all Middle and High School athletic events on the following dates: 9/09/23, 2/3/24, and 5/18/24. The dates and times of the rest of the events will be released at a later date. Thank you to the Wildwood Catholic Academy and Wildwood Middle/High School communities for your time, effort, and collaboration on this joint decision.”
