Emily Cimino made history Thursday afternoon.
Cimino, pitcher and outfielder, became the first player in Wildwood Catholic High School program history to record 100 career hits in her junior season when she grounded a single to right field in a 19-5 victory over Cape May Tech.
Cimino, a Division I Lehigh commit, entered the game with 97 career hits. She went 3 for 4 with a home run.
Wildwood Catholic improved to 9-2 with the win. The Crusaders hit three home runs in the win, with Annika Marks slugging a grand slam and Brianna Bailey also homering.
Cimino is the fourth Wildwood Catholic softball player to record 100 career hits. Liz Golden, Jackie DeLong and Gia Tammaro are the others.
