Championship season for local youth baseball team

The Lower Cape May Nor’Easters 12U baseball team recently finished off a championship season.

The Nor’Easters, made up of players from Lower Township, Middle Township and the Wildwoods, finished the spring season as champions of the Tri-State Elite League Rookie Division. The Nor’Easters went 11-1 during the regular season and were the No. 1 seed for the playoff tournament.

The team finished 16-1 overall and won the Upper Township tournament while also winning both of its game at the Sports at the Beach Tournament before the the event’s elimination games were rained out.

Players from the team include Patrick Bean, Matt DiCave, Ronald Neenhold, Tanner Oliva, Kody Lewis, Drew Nelson, Kyle Satt, Amari West, Connor Laughlin, Tommy Walters and Hunter Ray. Coaches are Matt Bean, Jay DiCave, Jamie Neenhold and n Oliva.
