ALEXA PALMIERI
Alexa Palmieri, a sophomore cross country runner from Ocean City High School, is the CoastSportsToday.com Cape May County High School Athlete of the Week for the week ending Saturday, Sept. 8. Palmieri helped the Raider cross country program win the coed championship at the Cherokee Challenge by winning the 320-meter sophomore race in 12 minutes, 13.45 seconds. Palmieri beat the second-place finisher by five seconds and finished atop a field that included 216 finishers.
