Two local AAU hoops teams win tournament titles

The Wildwood Bruins took first place in the U13 division at the Youth Elite Sports Tournament in Berlin over the weekend. Two area AAU boys basketball teams each won championships at different tournaments over the weekend.

The Wildwood Bruins won the U13 division at the Youth Elite Sports Tournament in Berlin, going unbeaten at the event. The team, which is made up of players from across southern Cape May County, is 7-1 so far this spring through two tournaments.

The New Jersey Shoreshots won the U13 division at the Hoop Group’s Junior Spring Jam Fest in Neptune. The Shoreshots team is made up of players from Cape May, Atlantic and Monmouth counties.
