Two Cape May County high school graduates have been honored by the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Middle Township graduate Joe Fala has been named the NJAC’s Offensive Player of the Week for men’s soccer, while Ocean City graduate has been honored as the conference’s Rookie of the Week for women’s soccer.
Fala, named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, scored two goals in a critical 3-1 victory over Rutgers-Camden over the weekend. The senior forward scored the game-winner in the 83rd minute and added another goal on a penalty kick four minutes later.
Fala currently leads the NJAC with 25 points on 10 goals and five assists.
Ramapo is 8-1-5 overall, 3-1-2 NJAC.
Rolls, a freshman forward, claimed her second NJAC Rookie of the Week honor after scoring both goals in Montclair State’s 2-1 win over Stockton. Rolls scored both goals in the first half.
Rolls currently leads the NJAC in points (18), goals (7) and game-winning goals (2) in conference games.
Montclair State is currently 10-4-2 overall, 5-0-1 NJAC.
