CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — Cape May Tech swept Lower Cape May in boys and girls swimming meets Friday afternoon at the Special Services School District aquatic facility.
Steve Olson and Chris Porto were each part of four first-place finishes in the Haw boys team’s 105-56 victory.
Olson was first in the 200 and 500 freestyle races, while Porto claimed first place in the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly. They both were each part of two first-place relay teams.
Tech’s Anthony Paluch (50 freestyle) and Roman Voinea (100 breaststroke) were each part of two relay wins along with an individual first-place finish.
Justin Melli led Lower Cape May with victories in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
In the girls meet, Lindsay Robbins, Cameron Muir and Kaitlyn Crouthamel were each part of four first-place finishes to pace Tech to a 132-32 victory.
Robbins set a new school record time of 5:35.50 in the 500 freestyle and was first in the 100 backstroke. She was also part of two relay wins.
Muir was first in the 50 and 200 freestyle races along with two relay wins.
And Crouthamel won the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly and was also part of two relay victories.
Tech’s Alyssa Hicks in the 100 freestyle and Emie Frederick took first in the 100 backstroke.
