The Middle Township High School girls swimming program is a back-to-back champion.
The Lady Panthers secured their second straight Cape-Atlantic National Conference championship with a 108-62 victory over Oakcrest at the Cape May County Special Services aquatics facility.
The win allowed Middle to finish its dual meet season at 7-2 overall, 7-0 in conference meets.
Sophia Bosacco and Sophia Braun each were part of four first-place finishes and Ishika Patel was part of three first-place efforts for Middle in the win. Bosacco won the 200 individual medley and the 500 freestyle, Braun took first place in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle and Patel was first in the 100 butterfly. Bosacco, Braun and Patel were also part of the winning 200 medley relay team along with Natali Ilieva. And Bosacco, Braun and Patel won the 200 freestyle relay with Catherine Bostard.
Middle’s boys team also beat Oakcrest, 96-72, to secure second place in the CAL National. Travis McCray was part of four first-place finishes. He won the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle and was also a member of two winning relay teams. Ethan Bossuyt took first in the 100 breaststroke.
