WILDWOOD — The Wildwood High School boys basketball team’s first three victories this season came in close games.
The fourth one was rather easy.
Wildwood reeled off a 26-5 second-quarter run and led 43-13 at the half en route to a dominating 68-44 victory over Cumberland Tuesday evening.
Karl Brown, Ernie Troiano and Seamus Fynes combined to make 17 of 25 shots from the floor as each scored in double figures for the Warriors (4-3). Brown led all scorers with 16 points, Fynes netted 14 points and Troiano chipped in 13 points. Fynes also collected eight rebounds, four steals and three assists and Troiano tallied seven rebounds and three assists.
Wildwood improved to 4-3. The Warriors play at Clayton on Thursday in a rematch of last March’s South Jersey Group I title game.
