Latest Cape Express youth soccer scores

The following are results from recent games played by Cape Express youth soccer teams:

GIRLS

U8 Cape Express Rage vs. Haddon Heights Wildcats: Jaclin Adams, Kennedy Kurkowski, Miranda Gonzalez, Brianna Quinn, and Liza Matthew all scored goals. Goalies Brianna Quinn and Jaclin Adams played great protecting the goal. The whole team has shown tremendous improvement in their third game.

U11 Bordentown Lightning 2, Cape Express Mayhem 1: Madelyn Burns scored the Mayhem’s lone off an assist by Maggie Staino. Excellent play in the midfield by Whitney Macrina and the defense led by Maggie King, Peyton Bernacki, and Nora Cray held the Lightning to two goals.

U12 Cherry Hill FC 3, Cape Express Riptide 2: The Riptide battled back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the score in the second half by two goals from Emma Vince.  A late goal by Cherry Hill won the game for the visitors despite strong play by Cape’s Alex Grier and Zoe Super.

U13 Mt. Laurel Supernova 2, Cape Express Sirens 1: An early goal by Mount Laurel put the Sirens on their heels early. Despite dominating play for much of the first half it ended 1-0. For the second week in a row Sophia Smith rocketed a shot from 20 yards out into the net to tie the game. The second half saw more ball control from Cape as Gabby Oliver, Izzy Miller, and Julia Deignan pressured the Supernova goalie. Mount Laurel was able to get a quick counter near the end of the game to secure the win.

BOYS

U9 Cape Express Whitecaps vs. South Real Madrid: The Whitecaps put in a great team effort on the day creating a lot of attacking opportunities and cutting out any chances the opposition put together. Cole Leusner and Jayden Casella led the back line making it difficult for the opponents to get many shots off on goal. Francis Hall and Logan Ridgeway split time in goal making multiple saves and building the play from the back. Giuseppe Tenaglia and Weston Carlino dominated the middle of the field. Evan Volpe put away the ball from the penalty spot with a well strike ball. Erik Avetisyan was aggressive in the attacking third grabbing himself three goals securing the game for Cape Express.
