CoastSportsToday.com Male Athlete of the Week: John Leahy, Middle Township

John Leahy, a senior forward on the Middle Township High School boys basketball team, is the first CoastSportsToday.com Male Athlete of the Week for the 2021 winter sports season.

Leahy, a 6-5 senior forward, tied for the team high with 16 points in Middle’s 55-47 win over Lower Cape May in its season opener last week. His three-pointer midway through the fourth quarter gave the Panthers the lead for good. Leahy scored 11 of his 16 points in the second half.

In addition to basketball, Leahy is also a member of the Middle Township boys tennis team.
