WILDWOOD — It’s normally not a recipe for success to concede the first two goals of a high school boys soccer game.

For Wildwood on Tuesday, it turned out to be no problem.

The Warriors rallied from a 2-0 deficit to start the game by scoring five answered goals in a 5-2 decision over Salem.

Wildwood still trailed 2-1 at intermission before erupting for four goals in the second half.

Gavin Burns and Javier DeLao each scored twice and Tyler Brown added a goal for the Warriors. Josh Vallese and Alex Bautista each posted two assists. Al Sanzone made six saves in goal.

Wildwood, which featured as many as five freshmen on the field together during the contest, improved to 2-1.
