Jahlil White (freshman-Temple basketball-WCHS) was recently named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week for the second straight week. The 6-7 guard posted his first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in a win at Tulsa. White has been in the Owls’ starting lineup for each of the last five games and is averaging 10.0 points and 8.8 rebounds per game over that stretch. He is averaging 6.9 points and a team-best 4.9 rebounds per game overall and is also second on the team in field-goal percentage (.522) and third on the team in steals (15). Temple (10-6 overall, 3-2 AAC) hosts Cincinnati on Tuesday. …

Kyion Flanders (senior-Stockton basketball-WHS) scored 10 points and produced a game-best three steals to help the Ospreys to a 71-59 win over Ramapo on Saturday. For the season, Flanders is averaging 10.9 points and 4.9 rebounds and is second on the team in both assists with 42 and steals with 36. Stockton (14-3 overall, 9-2 New Jersey Athletic Conference) hosts rival Rowan on Wednesday. …

Gabby Turco (freshman-St. Anselm basketball-WCHS) posted 17 points, nine assists, six rebounds and two steals in the Hawks’ 67-63 loss to LeMoyne on Saturday. Turco, who has been named the Division II Northeast-10 Conference’s Rookie of the Week four times so far this season, is averaging 16.4 points and 4.8 rebounds and is second on the team in both assists (40) and steals (21). She’s also shooting 83.1 percent from the free-throw line (49 for 59. St. Anselm (9-7 overall, 5-4 NE10) is next in action Tuesday at St. Rose. …

Seamus Fynes (freshman-Washington College basketball-WHS) has seen action in seven of 15 games and is averaging 2.0 points per outing. Washington College (4-11) is next in action Monday at home against Ursinus. …

Pat Holden (senior-Widener basketball-LCMRHS) recorded 12 points and dished four assists in the Pride’s 82-71 loss to Hood College over the weekend. For the season, Holden is second on the team in scoring at 13.4 points per game and leads the team in assists per game at 3.6. Widener (7-10 overall, 2-7 MAC Commonwealth) is next in action Wednesday at Eastern. …

JENNA HANS

Jenna Hans (freshman-Hood College basketball-WHS) recorded four points, three rebounds and two assists in the Blazers’ 67-55 loss at Widener Saturday. For the season, she’s averaging 6.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while playing in 12 contests (nine starts). Hood (5-11 overall, 2-7 MAC Commonwealth) is next in action Wednesday against Stevenson. …

Gary Nagle (senior-Ursinus wrestling-MTHS) won by technical fall and by pin at 184 pounds to help the Bears sweep a quad against Gettysburg, Washington & Lee and McDaniel on Saturday. Romeo Rodriguez (junior-Ursinus wrestling-MTHS) split his two matches at the quad, with his win at 133 pounds coming by 11-4 decision. Earlier this month, both Nagle and Rodriguez won their respective weight classes to lead Ursinus to a second-place finish at their own Will Abele Invitational, an event that included 15 teams. For the season, Nagle (12-3) is second on the team in wins, while Rodriguez (10-6) is tied for third on the team in wins. …

Austin Cominsky (senior-Wilkes wrestling-MTHS) is 12-5 this season for the Colonels. He placed fourth in the 197-pound weight class at the Wildcat Invitational. Teammate Dawson Tallant (junior-Wilkes wrestling-MTHS) is 3-10 this season. …

Matt Gariano (freshman-Washington and Jefferson wrestling-MTHS) is 3-11 with two wins by fall for the Presidents this winter. …

Caleb Fields (senior-Bowling Green basketball-WCHS) is taking a medical redshirt this season after suffering an injury in the preseason for the Falcons. He’ll have two more seasons of eligibility if he wishes. Last season, Fields started in all 25 games in which he appeared and was second on the team in steals with 28. …

Marianna Papazoglou (freshman-Penn basketball-WCA) has played in nine games, with one start, for the Quakers so far this season and is averaging 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. Penn (7-2 overall, 2-2 Ivy League) is next in action Wednesday at Columbia. …

Lauren Moretti (senior-Delaware Valley College basketball-WCHS) recorded 14 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and zero turnovers for the Aggies in a 66-55 loss to Misericordia on Saturday in the team’s first action since Dec. 30 due to cancellations and postponements due to the health pandemic. For the season, Moretti is averaging 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds, both good for second on the team, and leads the team with 43 assists. She is one of two players to have started all 12 of the team’s games to date. Delaware Valley (4-8 overall, 0-8 MAC Freedom) is next in action Monday at DeSales. …

Martin Anguelov (freshman-Ranger College basketball-WCHS) is averaging 6.6 points per game while shooting 35.7 from three-point range and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line. Ranger, a junior college in Texas, is 11-8 overall. …

LINDSAY ROBBINS

Lindsay Robbins (freshman-Millersville swimming-CMTHS) placed third in the 200 freestyle and was part of the fifth-place 400 freestyle relay team in wins over Messiah and York over the weekend. Millersville (8-0 overall) is next in action Saturday against East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg. 

Jordan Hall (sophomore-St. Joseph’s basketball-North Wildwood native) registered 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Hawks in a 70-54 loss to VCU on Saturday. For the season, Hall leads St. Joseph’s in scoring at 15.1 points per game, in assists at 6.4 per game and in total steals with 26. He’s also third in rebounds per game at 6.6. The Hawks (8-9 overall, 2-4 Atlantic 10 Conference) are at George Mason Monday. …

Mat Capozzoli (senior-Drew basketball-WCHS) saw four minutes of action in a 79-53 win over Juniata on Saturday. Capozzoli has played in 11 of the team’s 17 games so far this season and is averaging 4.1 points and 2.1 rebounds. The Rangers (11-6 overall, 5-1 Landmark Conference), who have won eight of their last nine, are scheduled to host Scranton Wednesday. …

JOSH WRIGHT

Josh Wright (freshman-Rowan basketball-CMTHS) had eight points and two rebounds in 12 minutes of action in the Profs’ 96-78 win over Kean on Saturday. Earlier this month, Wright was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week after scoring a career-high 23 points in a 66-60 loss to Rutgers-Newark. Wright is averaging 7.5 points and 1.8 rebounds on the season. Rowan (15-3 overall, 8-3 NJAC) is next in action Wednesday at Stockton. …

Keith Palek III (freshman-California University of Pennsylvania basketball-St. Augustine Prep-Woodbine resident) collected eight points, seven rebounds and four assists in an 87-71 win over No. 11 Mercyhurst on Saturday. Palek is averaging 10.0 points and 8.1 rebounds per game so far this season. The Division II Vulcans (11-4 overall, 6-3 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference) are next in action Monday at home against Gannon. …

Kate Herlihy (freshman-Rowan basketball-MTHS) played six minutes and recorded one rebound and one blocked shot in a 68-64 loss to Kean on Saturday. For the season, Herlihy is averaging 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds and has recorded 15 steals while seeing action in all 17 of the team’s games. Rowan (11-6 overall, 9-2 New Jersey Athletic Conference) is next in action Wednesday at Stockton. …

Jake McGonigle (junior-Holy Family basketball-WCHS) has seen action in 18 games, with six starts, and is averaging 2.9 points and 2.2 rebounds. He’s also second on the team in total assists with 47. Holy Family (7-13 overall) plays at Chestnut Hill on Wednesday.
