CARSON DENHAM

Carson Denham (senior-Arcadia baseball-CMTHS) tossed 3 ⅓ innings of scoreless relief and was the winning pitcher in the Knights’ 11-6 win Friday in the first game of a three-game sweep over King’s College. He struck out three and allowed two hits and two walks. Denham is back competing for Arcadia after missing all of last season due to an arm injury. Arcadia (12-2) next plays a three-game series at Wilkes beginning Friday. …

Gary Nagle (senior-Ursinus wrestling-MTHS) was recently named to the Centennial Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll. To qualify, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and carry a grade-point average of at least 3.4. Nagle was the 184-pound champion at the Centennial Conference Championships last month. …

CALEB FIELDS

Caleb Fields (senior-Bowling Green basketball-WCHS) recently announced he is entering the transfer portal after taking a medical redshirt this season due to a nagging groin injury. Fields, a two-year starter at point guard for the Falcons, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining. Fields is set to graduate from Bowling Green with a bachelor’s degree in May. …

Emily Cimino (junior-Lehigh softball-WCHS) went 1 for 4 with an RBI to help the Mountain Hawks to a 5-2 win over Canisius in the finale of a five-game trip to Tampa, Fla. last Saturday. For the season, Cimino is hitting .302 and is tied for the team lead in both RBI with 12 and doubles with five. She has slugged one home run and is tied for the team lead in triples with two. She has struck out just five times in 53 at bats. Lehigh is next in action this weekend at Army for a three-game series. …

COOPER GEHRING

Cooper Gehring (redshirt freshman-East Stroudsburg baseball-CMTHS) went 1 for 3 with a run scored and a sacrifice bunt Sunday to help the Warriors secure a victory over Shippensburg on Sunday. An outfielder who’s played in 14 of the team’s 25 games, with seven starts, Gehring is batting .448 with nine runs scored and six RBI. East Stroudsburg (19-5), currently ranked 26th nationally in Division II, next plays a three-game series against Mansfield this weekend. …

Melani Amador (junior-Chestnut Hill lacrosse-LCMR) has started five of the Griffins’ six games so far this season. Sheh as made 79 saves and has posted a .425 save percentage. Division II Chestnut Hill (1-5) is next action Friday at Felcian. …

Julianna McClain (freshman-Ramapo lacrosse-LCMR) scored her first college goal in Wednesday’s 19-3 win over Centenary. She also posted an assist. McClain has started all five games so far this season for Ramapo (1-4), which is set to travel to Maritime College on Friday. …

WILL BERGER

Will Berger (junior-Rutgers track-LCMR) placed fourth in the 2,000-meter steeplechase at the Black and Gold Invitational on the campus of the University of Central Florida last weekend. Rutgers is back in action April 1-2 at the University of Florida Relays. …

Sayde Nichols (freshman-Rowan Cumberland softball-MTHS) is batting .500 through eight games. She leads the team in runs scored with 12, triples with two and stolen bases with four and is tied for the team lead in hits with 12. Teammate Madison Sloan (sophomore-Rowan Cumberland-LCMR) with a double and four RBI. Rowan Cumberland (2-8) is next scheduled to play Saturday at home against Sussex County Community College. …

CARINA RAYMOND

Carina Raymond (sophomore-Jefferson lacrosse-LCMR) posted a game-high six goals in each of the team’s last two games – a 21-0 win over Chestnut Hill and a 19-4 decision over Holy Family. Raymond is currently first on the teams in goals with 16 and second on the team in points with 17. Division II Jefferson (2-3) is next in action Saturday at home against Nyack. …

Marissa Giancola (junior-Kutztown lacrosse-LCMR) has played in three of a possible six games as an attacker for the Golden Bears so far this season. Division II Kutztown (3-3) is next in action Saturday at Shippensburg. …

James Cella (junior-Pennsylvania College of Technology lacrosse-LCMR) made 22 saves on 34 shots to help the Wildcats to a 13-10 win over FDU-Florham on Saturday. He has started all eight of the team’s games and has made 92 saves while posting a .520 save percentage. Penn Tech is next scheduled to play Friday against Morrisville State. …

MADDIE BARBER

Maddie Barber (sophomore-Temple lacrosse-MTHS) recorded eight draw controls and five ground balls in an 11-6 victory over UC Davis on Sunday. Barber, a defensive midfielder who has started all 10 of the Owls’ games so far, is currently second on the team in draw controls with 35 and fifth on the team in ground balls with 16. Temple (7-3) plas at fifth-ranked Syracuse on Saturday. …

Paige Fox (sophomore-Rowan Gloucester softball-MTHS) went 1 for 3 with a three-run triple and a run scored and Victoria London (sophomore-Rowan Gloucester softball-MTHS) had an RBI single and a run scored as the Roadrunners beat Suffolk County College, 10-2, to salvage the finale of a three-game series on Sunday. For the season, Fox is batting .367 with six RBI and nine runs scored while London is hitting .259 with eight RBI and seven runs scored. Rowan Gloucester (8-9) is next in action Saturday with a home doubleheader against Lehigh Carbon Community College. …

CAROLINE GALLAGHER

Caroline Gallagher (sophomore-Cabrini lacrosse-MTHS) scored a goal in the Cavaliers’ 22-13 loss to Stevens last Saturday. The midfielder has started all seven games so far this season and has posted six goals, good for fifth on the team. Cabrini (2-5) is next in action March 29 at home against Stockton. Gallagher also plays field hockey at Cabrini and was named the Atlantic East Conference Player of the Year in November after posting 13 goals and eight assists in leading Cabrini to the conference championship. …

Kira Sides (sophomore-LaSalle lacrosse-MTHS) started at midfielder in Saturday’s 11-9 loss to Siena as she works her way to full health following an ankle injury from early in the season. She has started each of the team’s last four games. Sides has posted a goal, eight draw controls and five ground balls in eight appearances. LaSalle (2-6) next plays Friday at Richmond in the team’s first Atlantic 10 Conference game of the season. …

RAKIM COYLE

Rakim Coyle (senior-Rowan track and field-WCHS) placed first out of 20 competitors in the long jump at a distance of 6.99 meters at the Washington & Lee Carnival last weekend. Rowan is next in action this Saturday when it hosts the Oscar Moore Invitational. …

Kyion Flanders (senior-Stockton basketball-WHS) was recently named a second team ECAC selection after helping Stockton win the New Jersey Athletic Conference title and reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Flanders was previously named the NJAC Defensive Player of the Year. He averaged 11.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.1 steals per game for the Ospreys, who finished 26-5.

Stockton men’s basketball guard and Wildwood High School graduate Kyion Flanders has been named a second team ECAC all-star.
