CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — The Middle Township High School softball team used a late rally to win its home opener Friday.

Trailing 10-6 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Middle scored five runs to take the lead for good. The Lady Panthers scored the winning run on a suicide-squeeze bunt by Juliet Thompson.

Isabella D’Alonzo had two hits, two runs scored and two RBI and Sydnie Hunter had a hit, three runs scored and two RBI for Middle.

Lexi Cremin went 4 for 5 with three runs scored and Hailey Elwell and Mariah Klinger each chipped in two hits for Lower Cape May.
