MaryKatelyn West of Lower Cape May Regional High School is the latest CoastSportsToday.com Female Athlete of the Week.
A senior on the girls track team, West posted a height of nine feet in placing second in the pole vault at the South Jersey Group II championships over the weekend. Her effort advances her to the state championship meet. West also placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles to also advance to the state tournament.
Earlier this spring, West won the pole vault and 100 hurdles at the Cape May County championship meet.
