CoastSportsToday.com Female Athlete of the Week – Macie McCracken, WHS

Macie McCracken of Wildwood High School is the latest CoastSportsToday.com Female Athlete of the Week.

A sophomore on the cross country team, McCracken won the Big Five championship meet at Cape May County Park by nearly 2 1/2 minutes, posting a time of 19:31.36 in the event held earlier this season. Last week, McCracken won a Tri-County Conference batch meet at Salem Tech that featured more than 100 runners with a time of 18:25. Earlier this week, McCracken was second in 19:36.56 out of 104 finishers at another league batch meet at Cumberland.

McCracken won South Jersey Group I titles in the 1,600 and 3,200 in track last spring and helped Wildwood’s girls basketball team win a South Jersey championship last winter by averaging 15.4 points per game as a freshman.
