Catching up with some former area high school athletes now competing at the college level …

Collin Hassay (sophomore-Immaculata soccer-LCMR) has played in 12 games, with three starts, as a midfielder for the Mighty Macs. He has posted two assists. Teammate Reed Lindsay (sophomore-Immaculata soccer-OCHS-North Cape May resident) has played in 14 games, with six starts, as a midfielder and has recorded three goals and two assists. Immaculata (7-6-3 overall, 2-2-1 Atlantic East) plays its final regular-season game Wednesday at Marymount. …

Mia Rafter (junior-Rosemont soccer-MTHS) has played in 12 games with nine starts, for the Ravens this fall. She is tied for third on the team with three goals and has also posted two assists. Rafter scored twice in a recent victory over Valley Forge. Rosemont (5-5-2 overall, 4-3 Colonial States Athletic Conference) plays at Wilson College on Wednesday in its regular-season finale. …

BRENNAN RAY

Brennan Ray (senior/graduate student-Montclair State football-LCMR) had eight tackles, including a sack, in the Red Hawks’ 18-15 loss to The College of New Jersey on Oct. 15. Ray, a defensive back, is fourth on the team in total tackles with 36. He is second on the team in interceptions with two and also has three pass breakups. Ray was a first-team all-New Jersey Athletic Conference selection in both 2020 and 2021. Montclair State hosts Christopher Newport on Saturday. …

Paige Dooley (sophomore-Rowan College Cumberland soccer-CMTHS), Sydney King (sophomore-Rowan College Cumberland soccer-CMTHS) and Lexi Cremin (freshman-Rowan College Cumberland-LCMR) have each been contributors for the Dukes this fall. …

Brynn Bock (sophomore-Alvernia soccer-MTHS) has started all 16 games for the Golden Wolves at goalkeeper this fall. She has posted 115 saves while posting five total shutouts. Alvernia (4-8-4 overall, 1-3-2 Middle Atlantic Conference) is at Widener on Wednesday. …

Allison Johnson (senior-Immaculata field hockey-MTHS) has played in nine games, with four starts, as a defender for the Mighty Macs. Teammate Camryn Oliver (sophomore-Immaculata field hockey-MTHS) has seen action in two games as a midfielder. Immaculata (6-8 overall, 3-2 Atlantic East) plays its regular-season finale Wednesday at St. Mary’s College. …

CAROLINE GALLAGHER

Caroline Gallagher (junior-Cabrini field hockey-MTHS) leads the Cavaliers in goals with 17 and assists with 10 through 15 games. She posted three assists in the team’s most recent game, an 8-1 victory over Immaculata. Gallagher was the Atlantic East Player of the Year as a sophomore in 2021. Teammate Makayla Hueber (junior-Cabrini field hockey-LCMR) has seen action in five games as a backup goalkeeper. She has not conceded a goal. Cabrini (11-4 overall, 4-1 Atlantic East) plays its regular-season finale Wednesday against Neumann. …

Dakota Ludman (sophomore-Stockton field hockey-MTHS) is one of eight Osprey players to see action in 16 games (14 starts) so far this season. The midfielder has posted one assist. Stockton (6-10 overall, 0-6 New Jersey Athletic Conference) hosts Alvernia in its season finale on Saturday. …

Veronica Johnson (junior-Neumann field hockey-MTHS) has played in 14 of a possible 15 games, with 13 starts, as a defender. She has recorded one assist. Neumann (3-12 overall, 0-5 Atlantic East) finishes the season Wednesday at Cabrini. …

Anna Bond (sophomore-Cabrini soccer-MTHS) has registered one goal and one assist while seeing action in 13 games (four starts) for the Cavaliers. Cabrini (11-5 overall, 4-1 Atlantic East) finishes the regular season Wednesday at Gwynedd-Mercy. …

TYLER TOMLIN

Tyler Tomlin (senior-Cabrini soccer-WHS) has scored three goals and recorded one assist while seeing action in 13 of a possible 16 games as a forward so far this season. He was named to the Atlantic East weekly Honor Roll on Sept. 26 after scoring goals in consecutive games against Cairn and King’s. Teammate Vince Wilson (senior-Cabrini soccer-MTHS) has seen action in one game. Cabrini (6-7-3 overall, 3-2 Atlantic East) finishes the regular season Wednesday at home against Gwynedd-Mercy. …

Lexi Frank (sophomore-Franklin Pierce field hockey-MTHS) has played in six games, with three starts, as a defender for the Ravens this fall. Franklin Pierce (4-8 overall, 3-4 North East 10 Conference) plays at St. Anselm on Wednesday. …

Chloe Lawler (sophomore-Old Dominion soccer-LCMR) has seen action in one game for the Division I Monarchs. Old Dominion (6-8-2 overall, 4-4-1 Sun Belt Conference) is next in action Thursday against Marshall. …

Eddie Proud (senior-Neumann soccer-MTHS) is tied for second on the team in both goals and assists with four apiece this fall. 

Cameron Odom (freshman-Central Penn College soccer-MTHS) recorded his first college point, an assist, in a 5-3 win over Williamson Trade last week. Odom has played in 13 of a possible 15 games, with five starts, this season. Central Penn finished the season at 7-9 overall. …

Erin Connelly (sophomore-Salisbury cross country-WCHS) placed 206th out of 308 finishers in 26:39.6 in the women’s 8K race at the Rowan Interregional Border Battle at Dream Park in Logan Township earlier this month. Salisbury is next in action Saturday when it hosts the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference championship meet. …

Sean Connelly (sophomore-Ursinus football-LCMR), a linebacker, has seen action in four games so far this season for the Bears. He recorded a tackle in the team’s 44-17 victory over Moravian last weekend. Teammate Robert Lamoreaux (senior-Ursinus football-LCMR), an offensive lineman, saw his first action of the season in last weekend’s win. Ursinus (5-2 overall, 4-2 Centennial Conference) is at Gettysburg on Saturday. …

Ernie Troiano (freshman-Rowan football-WHS) has played in two games on special teams for the Profs so far this season. He recorded two tackles in a win over Springfield on Sept. 10. His brother, Dom Troiano (freshman-Rowan-WHS) is also on the roster but has yet to see game action. Rowan (5-2 overall, 3-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference) is at Salisbury on Saturday. …

Delaney Brown (freshman-Immaculata tennis-LCMR) saw action in four singles matches and three doubles matches for the Mighty Macs this fall. The team finished 1-5 overall this fall.
