Wildwood alum Frank Vogel to coach for Phoenix Suns per reports

Sports media outlets have been reporting that Frank Vogel will be head coach of the Phoenix Suns. Both ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic’s Shams Charania say Vogel has been hired, citing NBA sources. The Suns last head coach, Monty Williams led the team to 64 regular season wins and won the NBA’s Coach Of The Year Award last season, and was offered a record deal to coach for the Detroit Pistons, per reports. Vogel most recently coached the Los Angeles Lakers, taking them to an NBA Championship in 2020, but was released last year after three seasons.
