WILDWOD CREST — The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department hosted the annual grammar school basketball Island Tournament and Skills Competition Feb. 21-25 at the Crest Pier Recreation Center.
Margaret Mace won the Skills Competition.

The following are recaps of the tournament championship games:
Junior Varsity Girls Championship – Margaret Mace 22, Cape Trinity 9: Macie McCracken collected 11 points and Sierra McGrath added four points for Margaret Mace. Nola Quinn scored three points for Cape Trinity.
Junior Varsity Boys Championship – Wildwood 36, Crest Memorial 18: Junior Hans sank 13 points and Zion Hamilton chipped in eight points for Wildwood. Lukas Basile scored 12 points for the Crest.
Varsity Girls Championship – Margaret Mace 34, Cape Trinity 22: Torence Gallo netted eight points and Imene Fathi and Maya Benichou each added seven points for Margaret Mace. Kimmy Casiello led all scorers with 14 points and Lindsey Holden added three points for Cape Trinity.
Varsity Boys Championship – Crest Memorial 42, Wildwood 38: Kevin Castro (14), Josh Vallese (12) and Mike McGee (11) each scored in double figures for the Cougars. Joel Robinson led a strong second-half comeback by Wildwood by scoring 11 of his 15 points after the break as Wildwood tried to rally from a 16-point halftime deficit. Ernie Troiano IV added nine points in the loss.
